Madap

The program MADAP was written to serve for automatic annotation of
experimental count data on the location of the 5' end of mRNA molecules.
The aim is to identify candidates for bona-fide
transcription start sites (TSS). The idea was to reproduce the work of a human
annotator and to objectivize the choice of putative TSS locations as peaks
in a cluster of data "sufficiently" supported by the data.
A description of the method can be found here
madap.pdf .
A web-interface to the program is available at
web-madap .
